Cotton Knickers by Norrna

Durable and comfortable knickers designed for hiking, cross-country skiing, rock climbing, and general outdoor activities. We use a classic Canvas fabric as it's windproof, durable, and comfortable. The main fabric is a Canvas construction with 60% organic cotton and 40% recycled polyester. It becomes softer and softer with use. We use a strong, double-woven flex1 material in the seat and knees for stretch in all directions. Key features include an adjustable waist system, belt loops, internal loops for hangers (sold separately), two front pockets with drawstrings, an internal phone pocket on the right, a thigh pocket with a drawstring and one with a snap, side mesh ventilation, and bent knees for ease of movement. Knickers, or 'nikkers' in Norwegian, are traditional pants with roots tracing back to the USA and UK in the 1800s. They are loose-fitting shorts that gather just below the knees. They gained popularity among the rich, workers, and athletes. In Norway, they've been the preferred clothing for skiing, climbing, and outdoor activities for 150 years, even used by Nansen and Amundsen on their polar expeditions.
